Resumen
The LAUD 90.4 FM Estéreo radio program presents special coverage of the Hip Hop al Parque 2017 festival, in its 21st edition, held on October 21 and 22 at the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park in Bogotá. The event, with free admission, seeks to highlight hip hop as an integral culture and not just as a musical genre, highlighting its social, political and artistic dimension. During the broadcast, Edison Moreno, Idartes Music Manager, explains that this year's motto, “El hip hopas,” reflects the intention to transform the negative imaginaries associated with this culture, showing its value as a tool for social transformation.
The festival has an extensive program that includes the participation of international artists such as Bahamadia, Aldo and the DJ collective, as well as national and district groups such as Comuna 13, Laberinto and C15.
In addition to the artistic component, the event incorporates academic and training activities such as workshops on composition, vocal technique and history of hip hop, taught by national and international artists, including Raúl Numerado, Samuray and Nicolás Ospina. Graffiti interventions are also carried out by artists selected through public calls, who paint murals in different spaces of the park during the festival.
