Resumen
With the aim of advancing the development of an analytical framework for the evaluation and training of university professors, from the perspective of developing policies that address the potential relationships between these elements inherent to teaching practice. This initiative is geared towards university professors, student teachers, the academic community of the Universidad Distrital and the Capital District, the national and international academic community, and research groups and initiatives. The Third International Symposium on University Teacher Training was held in 2017 within the framework of the Colloquium “The University Professor Today: Analysis and Perspectives,” an academic forum designed to reflect on and re-evaluate practices and discourses related to teacher training, assessment, curriculum, didactics, research, and educational and pedagogical innovation, as conditions of possibility and alternatives for the “Transformation of Higher Education.” In addition to the symposium, the colloquium harmoniously and concurrently included—during a week of academic activities—the Fifth Research Meeting of the Faculty of Sciences and Education; the 2017 edition of the Early Childhood Studies course within the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education; and the Fourth Meeting for Sharing Pedagogical Experiences and Practices of the Institute of Educational Studies and Research (IEIE).
