Resumen
This research report is presented as an option for degree work (Agreement 012 of 2022) to achieve the title of Bachelor of Social Sciences. Since the beginning of 2022, those of us who are presenting this research report have begun visits to what is called the Hacienda el Carmen Protected Archaeological Area (hereinafter AAP Hacienda el Carmen or el Hallazgo), an area located on the rural urban edge of the town of Usme, south of Bogotá, and which is recognized as one of the largest necropolises in Latin America (Castro Bernal, 2013). Our initial objective was to find a space for the development of a pedagogical project aimed at training graduates in Social Sciences in the teaching of archaeological heritage. To do this, we contacted members of the Usme Heritage Board -USMEKA. This community-based organization has been managing, for several years, activities to protect and promote the Find. As a result of these meetings and seeking to formalize the relationship between a group of students, a teacher from the Bachelor of Social Sciences program of the District University (hereinafter LECS) and the Board, in the month of July 2022 we agreed to support the systematization of the tours carried out at the AAP Hacienda el Carmen by the members of this community organization. The LECS students were part of the research team: Andrés Felipe Esteban Contreras, Paula Rojas and Yahnira Gabriela Forero and the teacher Omar Garzón, a full professor at the University and assigned to the Faculty of Sciences and Education. The students and the professor, likewise, are part of the institutionalized research hotbed at the University, called Desviad2. In the month of September 2023, we applied to the internal call 03-2022 of the Scientific Research and Development Center (CIDC) of the District University, with the research project “Systematization of the heritage, culture and environment routes carried out by the Usme Heritage Table -USMEKA- in the protected archaeological area of Hacienda el Carmen, as an input for the teaching of archaeological heritage in the town of Usme", which was approved and institutionalized with Code 4-155-650-22. With the above, this report presents the final results of the research project to which we refer.
