Resumen
In the world and in Colombia, the work of the forestry sector and in particular the activities of the forest harvesting process are generally carried out in precarious working conditions: in open areas exposed to the outdoor elements and in irregular terrain that may have an important inclination. These conditions are reproduced in the forest exploitation front called Matayeguas, located in three municipalities of the department of Boyacá, operated by the company Arborisan SAS. In the exploitation the occupational risk associated with locative hazards was identified as relevant: given the accident history and associated absenteeism, high turnover of personnel and terrain conditions. Taking into account the high economic cost of increasing the mechanization of the process to reduce the locative hazards, it was decided to develop a management program to intervene the risk in occupational safety and health generated by locative hazards, adjusted to the topographic, socioeconomic conditions, and organizational aspects of the aforementioned company, in the program areas with high slopes were identified as a relevant factor in the increase of locative hazards and the difficulty to carry out activities, with the data obtained, priority was given to administrative measures: increase in safety signage , frequency of training and supervision, control panels of activities were designed with managers, execution times and indicators that are left at the disposal of the company for the respective monitoring and evaluation of the improvement in industrial safety associated with the management program.
