Abstract

When we are thinking in the process of making a degree project, we got in mind things like, for example, the constancy of this project developing, the pertinence, the clarity of the concepts that we have been working on and the domain that we have in the topic we choose. But sincerely, during this process I did not have all these things which I have already mentioned, drowning myself into constant sensations of hollowness, dwelling in nothingness that holds me away from creative thinking. For this reason this project will not have some concepts which we often find inside of the artistic practice. This degree project will be about the degree project itself, but more precisely from the experimentation of hollowness and nothingness that I had told previously. I will begin from these manifestations that gave birth to the hollowness, such as the absence of creativity, the confusion and the doubts, the longing of silence for not justifying anything, the incoherence, the contradiction, the pessimism and the evasion, mostly the evasion. It is possible that it shall be not pertinent talk about this kind of topics during the ending period of an academic process, like this degree project. What I am not searching for is justify or presume anything, yet I want to share the sensations and thoughts that the students from the art academy would experiment during this moment of the career. So, it is not strange if we find coincidences between my thoughts in the project and the right structure (if we can call it like that) of this kind of works, I suppose; or maybe I am just making evident a selfish foolishness which only focuses on achieve an unjustified caprice (just like doing an action which only will be present just for two days during the exhibition) and for that reason, it has an absence of any necessity of demonstration.
