Cálculo de la huella de carbono para la empresa ENTECH SUPPLY S.A.S Con vigencia 2022-2023

Abstract

ENTECH SUPPLY S.A.S. carried out a carbon footprint assessment, detailing the actions that generate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These emissions are divided into three categories: Scope 1, which includes direct emissions, Scope 2, which includes indirect emissions derived from energy consumption, and Scope 3, which includes optional indirect emissions such as solid waste, paper consumption and transportation. Based on this assessment, various emission records were developed based on emission factors that fit the operations of ENTECH SUPPLY S.A.S. As a result of this process, it was determined that the total GHG emissions generated by the company during the period from 2022 to 2023 amount to 7113536.2 (Ton) of (CO2). This figure is broken down into the following indicators: For electricity generation, a total of 0.121448 tons of (CO2) were emitted, corresponding to energy consumption in administrative activities. Regarding transportation, 6981019.079 tons (CO2)/year and 132512.513 tons (CO2)/year were emitted attributed to the use of fossil fuels in travel. Regarding solid waste, 4,125 tons (CO2)/year were generated as a result of administrative activities and paper consumption contributed 0.4068 tons (CO2), mostly linked to the use of paper in administrative activities.
