Reforzamiento estructural con pañete para viviendas informales

Abstract

Informal housing is very common in different parts of Colombia, due to the economic capacity of the majority of Colombian citizens, to whom it is easier to pay an empirical person than a professional. Consequently, most informal housing is constructed by empirical people who in many cases commit constructive errors. The main constructive errors are very superficial foundations, the leveling of the ground with stone which does not guarantee the stability of the construction, beams and columns if confinement beam in the base, combination of various types of mampuesto, deficiency in moorings between the walls Perpendicular, excessive gluing between masonry units, non-use of lintels over walls, walls collapsed among many more. Therefore it is of great importance to establish a method for the reinforcement of these houses, taking into account that these people do not have sufficient resources for pathological studies nor structural reinforcements since these are very expensive. This is why it is proposed a reinforcement with pañete because it is economic, known by the people who live in these houses and has high possibilities to increase the stability and the amount of load supported by the walls of these houses.
