Resumen
In this edition of the Voices and Regions program, the story of an elderly person is shared, recounting their arrival in the municipality of Inírida, Colombia. During the interview, they describe how they started working from a young age in various trades, overcoming challenges and contributing to the region's growth. Through their memories, they reflect on local customs, daily life, and the transformations the municipality has undergone over time.
In addition to their personal experiences, the interviewee discusses the history of Inírida, highlighting its evolution from a sparsely populated territory to the capital of the Guainía department. They mention key aspects such as economic development, infrastructure changes, and the influence of indigenous communities on the region’s cultural identity. Their testimony offers valuable insight into the growth and adaptation of this area in the Colombian Amazon, from the perspective of those who have witnessed its transformation firsthand.
