Resumen
This project seeks to pay tribute to the women of the Sánchez Family and preserve their identity, focusing on the tradition of making and selling tamales from Tolima, a practice rooted in the Colombian cultural fabric and in the knowledge passed down from generation to generation. To achieve this, written, visual, photographic and oral sources will be collected in collaboration with Las Sánchez, in order to create a family and historical archive that highlights the importance of the tamale as a symbol of resistance and identity. This dish will be used as a paradigm for the construction of memory from the intimacy of Colombian kitchens, giving life to sculptures based on the dental records of each of the women in the family. These sculptures will materialize their stories through dental prints, representing their legacy and continuity. In this way, each tamale and each sculpture will become testimonies of life, memory and identity, weaving a powerful narrative of belonging and family memory.
