Breve indagación a tres colectivos de teatro y su relación con la gestión teatral, la economía y la legislación cultural colombiana

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to analyze the economic and occupational dynamics of independent theatre in Bogota, and its relationship with the current legislation both local and national. To get an insight of the working of the sector, the economical and political análisis were contrasted with a mutidimensional study of the experience of three theater companies in the City; with each one of them, semi-structured interviews were conducted as well as financial and productional analysis. The results showed, how the public policies have been historically inssuficient which has led artists olive in auto-exploitation and very poor live conditions; additionally, this study states the urgency of a rethinking of public policies to guide them towards a competitive and financially stable arts market.
