Resumen
In the city of Bogotá diverse social contrasts can be visualized; where high, medium and low socioeconomic strata are present. In each of the population scenarios they have different types of quality of life. Ciudad Bolívar is one of the towns located in the south of the city where the population in a state of social vulnerability predominates. Well, the first settlers in the sector were migrant families from rural and peasant regions throughout Colombia, who arrived in the big city due to situations of armed conflict and in search of opportunities. The process of organization and formation of neighborhoods in the locality has been carried out in a disorganized way, through illegal invasions where they have subsequently been legalized. Put to this factor, the consequences and impacts generated by the urbanization of the city and the imposition of economic activities that have affected and deteriorated the existing natural resources can currently be observed. Which, it emerged that the inhabitants of the town have manifested themselves over several decades, against environmental deterioration through different legal mechanisms, popular education, citizen participation, among others, to stop the damage caused by public and private entities.
