Abstract

The program discusses Peace Week, beginning with the Prayer for Peace by Saint Francis of Assisi, a saint known for his life of humility, service, and deep love for creation. His spiritual message focused on fraternity, respect for nature, and the pursuit of both inner and social peace. In this context, the discussion reflects on the role of women as a symbol of Eve, representing both the spiritual and human dimensions of humanity's history. Their fundamental role as givers of life is emphasized, along with their responsibility in raising and educating children, fostering respect and harmony in society. Peace Week in Colombia is an initiative that has been held since 1987 to promote peacebuilding through cultural, educational, and community activities. Inspired by principles of reconciliation and social justice, this event highlights the importance of respect for life, gender equality, and the recognition of women's contributions to creating a more just and peaceful society.
