Resumen
Assuming discourse as a social and historical fact implies recognizing that language and its meaning have implications between subjects and their interactions with the world (Angenot, 1982). In this work, the investigation of these dimensions in the framework of mass communication is fundamental. To this end, this research is carried out from a qualitative approach, based on the hermeneutic method and particularly, taking into account the socio-critical analysis of discourse. The main interest is to carry out an analysis of the narratives generated by traditional media and social networks, around the tragedy of marginality, the explosion event that occurred in Tasajera, Magdalena, on July 6, 2020, where A truck carrying gasoline crashed on the township's main road. Several local residents came to loot the truck and it exploded moments later, leaving 45 dead. The above, through the stories of children from 10 to 14 years old, inhabitants of the place. With the purpose of making an approach to the way in which pornmisery and spectacle the media portray marginality and the possible implications on the identity of the viewers, in this case, in the children interviewed.
