Resumen
The purpose of MÁSK-E-HUMANOS is to remember and rethink the relationship between humans and the more-than-human. Understanding not only other forms of life different from the human species but all its relational context. This degree work is also linked to the research project “ARTISTIC PRACTICES FOR A COLOMBIA MORE THAN HUMAN: FROM THE WORLDS OF PLANTATION TO THE WORLD'S MARAÑAS” that seeks to recognize in artistic practices and sensibilities ways of doing, attending and thinking that allow repairing and re-establishing the nature-culture continuum and thus advancing in a plural relationality that brings together forms of life and modes of existence from the basis of a non-hierarchical ontology. As a textile artist I focus on these media to make them vehicles for the weavings that need to be mended, re-spun and re-bonded with more strength and more consciousness. Using the loom and embroidery to show that there really is no separation between human and nature, we are part of an organic and cyclical whole.
