Resumen
This research project aims to develop a model for the estimation of water quality in groundwater, based on the use of computational tools and neural networks. To achieve the objective, seven stages have been established, then a description of each one is presented:
Generalities of the Research: An introduction and contextualization of the research project is carried out and the objectives are established.
Study of the state of the art: A study was made of the state of the art of the research, a contextualization of the parameters and variables that were involved in the development of the research, some existing models that deal with the topic of water quality, methods for the normalization of data, the different methods that exist to calculate the correlation between the variables, some models for the estimation of the missing data and the computational models that exist nowadays and that have been applied for the prediction and estimation of different fields and parameters in hydrology.
Data analysis: Taking into account the information collected about works and research on the subject, a description is made of the water databases on which the model is presented, the normalization of the data is applied for its analysis and processing, performs a statistical analysis of the data and a study of the correlation that exists between the different parameters and sampling stations.
Conceptual model: With the information investigated in the state of the art and the analysis made to the data, we proceed to design a conceptual model that allows the compression of the model for the estimation of water quality in groundwater. The developed model focused on the estimation of missing data, by means of an algorithm developed throughout this research, which obtained better results in comparison with conventional estimation or interpolation methods.
Design and implementation of the model: Having the conceptual model, we proceed to the selection of the most appropriate tools for the design and implementation of this. Having selected the tools can be developed in the model taking into account the steps outlined in the conceptual model.
Testing protocol: With the implementation of the model already developed, tests are carried out for each of the sections of the proposed model and to verify the proper functioning of the model.
Final Conclusions and future work: Finally, a reflection on the completion of the investigation is made, some future works are presented and the conclusions are exposed in the development of the research.
