The image contains a notice about Law 14 of 1879 by which the Congress of the United States of Colombia exempts from the payment of import duties on several objects, in this law it is decreed that: Art. 1. Two iron bridges destined for the Guavio and Gacheta rivers, in the districts of Gachalá and Gachetá, to be introduced by the Junta del camino del Meta, in the sovereign State of Cundinamarca, shall be exempted from the payment of import duties. Art. 2. Likewise, the following objects are exempted from the payment of import duties: boxes and other tools that are introduced for the establishment of the Banco Popular in Cartagena; uniforms for the body of serenos of Bogotá and for the chiefs, officers of the Colombian Guard in active service; Monuments; statues and iron gates for the ornamentation of buildings and public squares: The pipes for the public aqueducts of the districts and the iron works that are introduced for the Penitentiary of the State of Cundinamarca and for those that are established in other states. Art. 3. The Executive Power will dictate the ordinances conducive to the fulfillment of this law.
