In this interview from the Voices and Regions program, Juana Paula Moreno is introduced, a leader from Chocó, participant in the Palenque Creative Organization of Chocoan Knowledge, founded in 2004. This organization's main objective is to train young leaders who understand and disseminate history. Afro-Colombian. Juana Paula explains that the young people of Chocó have the ability to access scholarships and educational programs, despite the limitations in educational infrastructure in the region. The organization focuses on promoting youth leadership, Afro cultural identity, and participation in decision-making processes. The organization's activities, such as workshops, talks and film screenings, are also discussed to encourage participation and historical knowledge among young people. Juana Paula also shares her dreams of contributing to the development of Chocó through basic sanitation projects and her personal goal of becoming a biologist. The conversation highlights the active role of women in organizational processes and the fight against violence in the region.
