Resumen
This document establishes an organizational model in operational and financial terms for the establishment of a wood transformation center for the manufacture of Pallets (Pallets) in Pinus patula wood north of the city of Bogotá, in the Guaymaral sector. . This center has an infrastructure of 2,500 m2 and an investment in tools, equipment, adjustments and administrative equipment of approximately $ 1,260,000,000 (one thousand two hundred and sixty million pesos) is projected. The work is structured to identify the approximate transformation yields, the costs associated with the operations, the organizational structure of the company, the main and most important varieties of pallets that are marketed in the Cundinamarca region and the financial evaluation of the project. This transformation center was born from the interest on the part of the company ECOLOGIC S.A.S to give a greater degree of transformation to the pine wood harvested from the Rabanal project; which has an estimated area of 350 ha and an average commercial volume of 300 m3 / ha. By having this large amount of wood, the company decides to invest in sophisticated machinery and trained personnel to enter the market for patula pine timber products, which is very broad in different areas of the country thanks to its versatility in transformation processes and to the large amount of planted area that the country has, approximately 75,000 ha according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the year 2019. From the most relevant results of the research, it can be noted that the project generates an IRR of 45%, NPV of 1'082,017,136 million pesos and has a medium capacity to generate value on the invested capital, taking into account that the Average ROIC value is over 14% and the opportunity interest rate is 12%.
