Resumen
The main objective of this project was to implement a modern technological infrastructure at VISION-E SAS in order to optimize its communication system, improve service integration, and ensure information security, all through the use of LAN technologies. The proposal was designed following best practice standards, taking the ISO/IEC 27000 regulatory framework as a reference. This allowed the incorporation of information security management guidelines and the strengthening of internal data protection policies. As part of this process, a security best practices manual was developed, aimed at guiding users in their daily operations. Based on a technical diagnosis of the network's condition, multiple deficiencies were identified related to connectivity, user management, and the lack of backup mechanisms. In response, a comprehensive solution was developed that included improvements to structured cabling, the implementation of network devices (firewall and switches), the creation of shared resources from a server using Hyper-V virtualization, and the automation of the backup system. Although a formal Information Security Management System (ISMS) was not implemented, the solution was indirectly designed under the principles and best practices of ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002, applying technical and organizational controls related to network security, logical access, data backups, and data classification. These actions significantly increased the security level of the infrastructure without compromising the scalability or operational sustainability of the environment. As a result, VISION-E SAS now has a more robust, secure, and scalable technological infrastructure, suitable for the current size of the organization but with the capacity for future expansion. The network was designed to ensure operational continuity, facilitate collaborative work, and integrate open-source tools that reduce costs without compromising performance or security.
