Resumen
This work focused on the optimization of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), focusing on improving the treatment of hydrocarbon-contaminated water through a comprehensive analysis that revealed deficiencies in the infrastructure and operational processes. Comprehensive solutions were designed, including the sizing of new structures and the selection of advanced technologies, in order to reduce the environmental impact and increase the efficiency of the plant. The importance of this work lies in the need to comply with environmental regulations, ensure operational sustainability and protect water sources, for which diagnostic and analytical techniques were used, evaluating the existing infrastructure and designing an action plan to implement the improvements. Despite the time and resource limitations for testing and full implementation, the results show that the adoption of appropriate technologies and constant monitoring can significantly improve the WWTP, reducing environmental risks and operating costs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
