Abstract

The purpose of this work is to unveil the future of the animal species that inhabit El Burro wetland in Bogotá through images in painting. Since in my first youth I had the experience of visiting and knowing this Wetland, I knew of its important function within our ecosystem; his ancestral legacy and I had the privilege of knowing the different species of birds, frogs and snakes. Over time I have seen his lamentable transformation, that is why I wanted to frame the future of this space of life within a prophetic context, taking the position of shaman that reveals his future. Jean Clottes and David Lewis-Williams in their text The Shamans of Prehistory determine, qualify and characterize three moments of symbolic trance, which have the ability to predict the future and, my purpose is to illustrate the last of them. The three moments of symbolic trance that Jean Clottes and David Lewis-Williams determine in their text define them as, Light State, Rationalizing perceptions and Whirlwind or tunnel. In the first I make a detailed account of everything I learned throughout my life, about wetlands, its history, everything that inhabits it and how it was my first approach to art through the illustrations of the Sabana de Bogota, in the second state we can see all the threats that contemporary capitalism created by avoiding an environmental catastrophe in its eagerness to obtain money in exchange for natural resources.
