Resumen
The electric bass and the synthesizer are instruments that nurture various genres of modern popular music such as funk, rock and electronic music. Specifically, this work will analyze the different techniques used in synthesizers for the creation of new timbres that, in turn, will be a source of inspiration to emulate its different modules with analog and digital processors, expecting as a result the modification of the basic sound texture of the electric bass. In the process, a signal flow was created that starts in the bass and goes through a pedalboard. This flow contains different modules that deal with sound qualities such as pitch, time and intensity. In the development of the experience, the sound was deepened from its physical conception in order to understand and manipulate the different acoustic phenomena, and thus create new timbres with the combination of the electric bass and the different techniques executed with pedals or effects (pedalboard). This work takes as a point of reference electronic music bassists such as John Davis of the band Jojo Mayer & Nerve, because his way of processing sound was inspiring for the development of the timbre concept.
