Resumen
Colombia currently has an installed electrical capacity of 16.83 Mw transported by the SIN (National Interconnected System) through 26,333 Km of interconnected transmission lines around 372 nodes, each with substations ranging from 110 Kv to 500 Kv. For the correct transmission and distribution of this power each substation has modern devices installed in control and protection boards, which are responsible for verifying, governing and protecting from possible failures to the different components of the system, ensuring continuity and quality of service of electric power. Due to this important task that the control and protection boards fulfill and the need of the company where the internship was executed to develop new solutions and products that ensure a reliable, available, uninterrupted and safe electrical supply for people and facilities, the present Internship work develops a methodology so that its design and execution meets the requirements indicated by the regulations and the requirements established by the companies in the sector.
