Resumen
The program "Voices and Regions" is an initiative of the Colombian Ministry of the Interior, focused on citizen participation and community action. It is broadcast in collaboration with the Universidad Distrital and Radio Universidad de Nariño, addressing various social and community issues. The broadcasts take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays, offering a space for dialogue and reflection on participation in the regions. In the recent broadcast, the construction of participation networks was discussed, highlighting the fundamental role of women in this process. Julia Cabarca, representative of the "Women for Peace" movement, emphasized the importance of female participation in the peace talks, which arose as a result of the negotiations in Havana. This movement brings together various women's organizations, which seek to ensure that their voices are heard and that their representation at the negotiating table is guaranteed. Cabarca mentioned the holding of significant events, such as the "Carnival of Peace" and the "National Women's Summit", where crucial issues such as the inclusion of women in peace processes and the need for parity in political representation were discussed. The participating women expressed their desire to mobilize to support the peace process and demand that negotiations not be halted. In addition, the situation of women in Colombia was addressed, who face inequalities in access to political participation and in daily life. The need to create conditions that allow women to be politically trained and participate on equal terms was highlighted. On the other hand, the National Agrarian Coordinator (CNA) was presented, a meeting space for peasants, Afro-Colombians and indigenous people, which seeks to address issues related to land and food sovereignty. This coordinator has worked for 16 years in the construction of proposals for Colombian agriculture, facing challenges such as violence and territorial dispossession. The organization has focused on reconstruction and social fabric, promoting education and agroecological production in the communities.
