Resumen
ABSTRACT Keywords: Travel, sponsorship, newspaper, chronicles. The creation proposal that is reached with this project is to create and place in circulation a newspaper called El Aguamarina (The Aquamarine) which is part of the newspaper category of proximity, whose narrative axis is the trip to the sea of two population groups, which are placed in dialogue through a selection of photographs in large format, headlines printed in mobile typography, a video of personal experience with the trip and the recording of the fragment of a speech about social tourism given by former Colombian President Guillermo León Valencia back in 1964. El Aguamarina (The Aquamarine) firstly retakes the news about the 72 peasants who are going to know the sea for the first time, published in the newspaper El Tiempo on October 30th, 1968 and the creation of news about traveling and travelers, narrated throughout the journalistic resource of the chronicle. In five chronicles, I try to point out from my interest in Art, several aspects such as the sponsorship to give a trip to the sea to people of low resources who could hardly achieve it by their own economic means, supported by Valencia’s speech on social tourism, and the issue of emotions, pathos as a possibility of knowledge. Contrasting throughout these chronicles and the images, two moments, one of the traveling peasants and the trips to bordering areas with the sea promoted by the IDRD (Recreation and sports district institute) to the elderly, fifty years after the news published in El Tiempo. Inquiring about the relationship with the sea and the feelings presented in front of it, required the development of a field of working with the travelers, to establish a body of information that would allow the configuration of the newspaper from photographic archives, interviews and personal interaction with their lives.
