As part of the development of the internship and as part of the degree work, a free software has been developed for the control and monitoring of the maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) El Salitre. The software is based on the information collected from the maintenance of the electromechanical equipment of the plant. On the one hand, the software covers the main processes carried out at the Salitre WWTP, such as wastewater collection, preliminary, primary and secondary treatment, disinfection, sludge treatment and energy recovery through biogas. Regarding the operation of the software, developed in Python, the aim was to improve the organization of documents related to maintenance, since the document management that has been carried out is generating difficulties in the control, due to the magnitude of the information handled at the WWTP. This, in the long term, can generate negative impacts on the plant's processes and operations. For example, it can cause loss of performance in the removal of pollutants, increased energy consumption, increased risk of failures and unplanned downtime, as well as significant repair and replacement costs. Therefore, the developed tool allows operators to enter the information obtained during maintenance, which facilitates the early detection of equipment that requires preventive or corrective care to prolong its useful life.
