Cálculo de Fletes de Transporte de Carga Terrestre Basado en Análisis Espacial

Abstract

In Colombia is evident the daily problems caused by land freight transporters because of their disagreement with the money that they receive by freight compared to the costs generated. This problem has increased with passing of time after removal of the table freight and implementing a system operating costs issued by the Ministry of Transport as it does not represent the reality of the conveyors. Because of this was proposed a GIS Web tool that faces the calculation of vehicle operating costs taking into account geographical variables that affect the operation of freight vehicles such as slope, the direction of the road and tolls. In addition, a more user interactive tool was designed and allows to view the road which is scrolled. Web GIS applications developed using a methodology of software reuse as thick is supported in software components such as ArcGIS and SQL Express as DBMS platform. Finally it was found that the tool generates operating costs closer to the reality of the conveyors and allows decision makers to establish policies and projects that improve road conditions to reduce operating costs.
