Resumen
The management of menstrual health and hygiene is constituted by a series of elements such as access to materials and supplies, so that menstruating people can carry their menstruation in an adequate and dignified way; since it is an essential and daily situation of the usual dynamics of women and menstruating people, however, around the menstrual cycle taboos and stigmas are maintained that constitute challenges for the management of menstrual hygiene. This document analyzes the factors that affect the management of menstrual hygiene in the national context, in order to propose a proposal with management alternatives that respond to the socioeconomic and environmental needs of the female population in which the perceptions of women and menstruating people of the environmental administration curricular project of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas are taken as a case study. In accordance with the above, through the approach of a mixed, descriptive and non-experimental research methodology, it is sought to address variables such as the context of menstrual management, the influence of economic determinants, as well as the current management of use and disposal of menstrual bleeding containment products, through primary collection instruments such as surveys, with a descriptive research approach that allows to determine the preference, perception and management of your menstruation.
