Resumen
We maintain through the investigation carried out that evaluation - in all its forms, characteristics, dimensions and possibilities - constitutes a fundamental human event, which has accompanied the history of humanity, but which in an unimaginable way has erupted and has installed, naturalized, normalized in modern societies. Evaluation has become the condition of possibility for the existence of things (more so in the educational field): the opening, offering and permanence of an academic program or an educational institution. -va, for example, depends on the evaluation (this happens with qualified registration systems and accreditation of programs and institutions). The same thing also happens with projects, plans, programs, policies, actions that, to be approved, must pass through the sieve of evaluation. Thus, gradually, evaluation became the fundamental, structural, necessary, unavoidable element... of educational action. In the framework of higher education, the teacher, whatever his condition (plant or occasional), is, at the same time, evaluator and evaluated, judge and party, measurer and measure - as Protagoras would say. The analysis of the implications that this has for the lives of teachers and for their teaching practice—particularly at the Francisco José de Caldas District University, but in view of what is happening in other higher education institutions and in other latitudes—constituted the intentionality of the research of which we report in this work.
