La enseñanza de Mecánica de Fluidos en Básica Secundaria mediante la experimentación

Se diseñó e implementó una unidad didáctica, para la enseñanza de mecánica de fluidos en la básica secundaria, con estudiantes de grado octavo; se planeó en ocho secuencias, iniciando y finalizando con una prueba; el objetivo se centró en el trabajo experimental, en cada sesión, a partir de la evaluación de las ideas previas de los estudiantes, se presentó la conceptualización, generando en estos un papel activo e incentivando la curiosidad e interés en la ciencia. Se encontraron diversos errores y dificultades en el aprendizaje de la física, como el confundir la densidad con el peso, asociar la presión con la masa o fuerza que tiene un cuerpo, atribuir mayor densidad a un fluido por tener mayor viscosidad, así como la falta de argumentación en algunas respuestas de los estudiantes.
A didactic unit was designed and implemented to teach fluid mechanics in middle school with eighth-grade students. It was planned in eight lessons with an entry and exit test. The objective is focused on experimental work, in each session according to the previous exams. There was a conceptualization, and some activities to increase curiosity and interest in science. There were found different mistakes and difficulties in physics learning such as confusing density with weight, associating pressure with the mass or force that a body has, attributing a bigger density to get bigger viscosity, and also the lack of argument in students’ answers.
