Abstract

The operation on the roads is affected by the growth of the population and in correlation with the increase in the vehicle fleet, which means that the greater the number of people, the greater the number of vehicles and the greater the number of accidents presented if there is no analysis within the problem; this is why the Mayor of Usaquén considers it a priority to carry out the Road Safety Audit in the section of 134th Street between Kr 46 and AK 20. Section that, due to its behavior, has high accident rates; and that due to the complexity of its location it is important to identify the main causes of the accidents in the section. The consulting company INGENIERÍA Y DISEÑO, presents the following proposal for Road Safety Audit developed for the section in question, within which contemplates by means of specialists with extensive knowledge in the areas of geometric design, signaling, traffic analysis and transport. and the structure as such of the road, detail the steps necessary to establish the reasons why the accident rates are presented. Within the proposal, the basic elements, the description of the methodological procedure, the scopes and resources necessary to perform a specific evaluation of the critical and risk points that concentrate a high number of traffic accidents and that together with the contracting entity are indicated be prioritized to mitigate the problem of traffic accident incidence of the study section. Likewise, the schedule of activities according to the above and its costs is delivered.
