Este artículo presenta la descripción de la implementación de un sistemapiloto que permite: georreferenciar un territorio, particularmentela Unidad de Planeación Zonal Jerusalén (UPZ 70) de Ciudad Bolívar,Localidad 19 de la ciudad de Bogotá (Colombia), a través de un dispositivoGPS; editar la información adquirida; almacenarla en una basede datos espacial; generar mapas, y mostrar la información medianteaplicaciones Web y Wap (Wireless Aplication Protocol), implementandoel concepto de Web Mapping y utilizando programas de código abierto.
In this article presents the description of the implementation of a pilot system that allows: georeferencing of a territory, particularly the Jerusalén Zonal Planning Unit (UPZ 70) a town 19, of Bogota (Colombia), through a GPS device; edit the information acquired, store in a spatial database, create maps and display information through applications Web and Wireless Aplication Protocol—Wap, using the concept of Web Mapping and using open source software.
