Integración de las TIC como apoyo al desarrollo de habilidades espaciales

Abstract

Every design process begins with an idea that must be possible to manipulate, modify and improve mentally. To carry out these processes, it is essential to have skills about spatial relationships. Taking into account that communication in engineering is largely carried out graphically, the development of spatial skills is essential for the academic and work life of future engineers. This book presents the theoretical bases that allow the development of some basic spatial skills, in addition to the implementation and verification of the performance of several of these traditional techniques. As a final part, the ICT tools (videos, LCMS virtual course, calligraphic drawing software, study guides, among others) developed and implemented by the research project within the Engineering Drawing courses and the comparative results obtained both in the evaluation of the development of spatial skills as well as the academic results of the course.
