Abstract

This document contains the process for the elaboration of the welding procedure specification (WPS) and the elaboration of the procedure qualification record (PQR) according to the ASME section IX code, with this it is sought to obtain an optimal development in the union of joints. welded by means of the GTWA welding method without contribution, applied by the company ICOPERFILES SA for the manufacture of its metal profiles. To carry out the elaboration of the WPS and the PQR, analyzes based on traction and bending tests or guided bending were carried out, in addition to visual inspections carried out on twenty four study specimens, following the requirements of the ASME code, the procedures that allow guarantee the quality of the process and therefore the quality of the products manufactured by the company ICOPEFILES SA
