El siguiente ensayo destaca una serie de elementos conceptuales que han afectado el funcionamiento de los museos, particularmente del museo de arte de la universidad. El autor explora el panorama de las mutaciones museísticas en la era de la globalización, donde el mercado transforma las políticas culturales y, por lo tanto, las prácticas educativas y culturales. Al analizar elementos de esta transformación, se abre una puerta para la discusión de la tensión entre lo público y lo privado, un asunto que hoy más que nunca merece abordarse en la encrucijada que las instituciones culturales enfrentan en nuestro país por falta de financiamiento estatal
The following essay highlights a number of conceptual elements that have affected the operation of museums, particularly of the university art museum. The author explores the landscape of museum mutations in the era of globalization, where the market transforms culture policies and therefore educational and cultural practices. By analyzing elements of this transformation, a door opens for the discussion of the tension between the public and private spheres, a matter that today more than ever deserves to be addressed in the crossroads that cultural institutions face in our country due to lack of state funding
