Abstract

The image contains news about a rectification made to the author of the article, by the Director of Public Instruction in Cundinamarca. The author of the article says that he will respond to this rectification, showing "the impartiality of his judgments." The response to this rectification comes from a previously published concept, about the need and importance for Directors of Public Instruction to be Catholic and also to be "more educated in Castilian literature." These concepts are issued because, in the opinion of the author of the news, it is disloyal and cruel to bring Protestant teachers to a Catholic country, since he considers Protestantism "a heresy" and the fact of paying teachers of that religious current is considered "useless or pernicious". Lastly, he considers that bringing in Protestant teachers is an act of hatred and "sowing discord." News published without author and without date.
