Resumen
What would be the mechanisms to support the pharmaceutical industry in terms of the improvement of its processes with technological tools to combat spurious drugs? Worldwide societies are facing this approach, they see with concern how the market for counterfeit medicines increases in a similar proportion to the deaths by their consumption. This scenario poses major challenges for the governments who must make choices that seek to stop the manufacture, sale and consumption of spurious, fake labeling or imitation medicines. There is a wide range of risks within the pharmaceutical industry, such as imitations, improper manufacturing processes and inappropriate transport and storage conditions, which pose risks to different parties such as manufacturers, distributors and customers, in a way that can lead to economic losses or health effects. Thus, this document aims to show how some implementations which use radio frequency technologies in the pharmaceutical industry, help mitigate the possibility of risk at different stages along the production and supply chain of medicines, seeking to improve quality in processes and pharmaceutical safety.
