Resumen
This work intends to expose how topography is a fundamental part in planning and development processes in rural and urban areas of the municipality of Chigorodó, belonging to the department of Antioquia, based on the accompaniment and support to the secretary of planning, housing and land use planning, as a field of development, the cadastre office is taken, because it is no less important in the development of this. The municipal cadastre office is responsible for carrying out the census and registration of real estate in the municipality, both physical, economic and legal. In addition, it serves as support to the finance office, as it helps to determine the collection of state taxes, among several of its functions, it is able to guide the citizen and support him when required, in situations of cadastral order, i.e., procedures involving the modification of the physical, legal and/or economic property, which are technically called cadastral mutations, which is the basis for the development of this work. It is not possible to talk about cadastre without talking about the intervention of topography, because the real estate inventory that was carried out in previous times has been left far behind, since it had a census of the farms of the whole region, their productions, and also their owners and/or possessors, with time the need to represent graphically the farm or property is added, for this, topography plays a very important role, since this with a topographic survey allows to visualize boundaries, This contributes to the fact that nowadays cadastral and urban surveys are carried out in cities, urban areas and municipalities to fix boundaries or study urban areas in order to have the plan that will serve as a basis for planning, studies and designs of widenings, extensions, reforms and projects of urban roads and public services, such as aqueduct, sewage, telephone and electricity networks, among others.
