Resumen
Hydroponic cultivation offers a valuable alternative to improve agricultural efficiency and sustainability by allowing precise control of nutrients, water, and environmental conditions, resulting in faster growth and increased production. However, constant monitoring is essential to ensure optimal plant performance and health, enabling early detection of issues such as nutrient deficiencies or diseases. To address these challenges, a monitoring system is proposed that utilizes sensors connected to an Arduino microcontroller and follows the OSI model for efficient and secure data transmission. This systematic approach ensures the integrity and availability of critical information for decision-making. The process involved an exhaustive literature review, designing a specific model for hydroponic cultivation, developing a software prototype, and evaluating the system under real conditions, confirming its usefulness and contribution to technological advancement in hydroponic agriculture.
