Resumen
Vitreous eroticism is a project that begins in the search to understand and analyze eroticism from personal questions, reinterpreting Eros in the processes of plastic creation, with the intention of giving a turn to pre-established social roles. It is proposed to understand eroticism from the perspective that artistic creation offers, under a Western perspective, using various forms of language in which the erotic is present.
The investigation of this project allows us to understand that the impulse reflected in the erotic is managed to be projected as a creative impulse or vital impulse. This creative drive opens a gap, managing to understand that the "body of desire" can have a political charge if desired, attributed to symbolic objects resulting from artistic practices, which, in this case, is reflected in the techniques of elaboration of artisan glass.
Research and analysis are geared from the process of intimate creation within the workshops or glass production chain, thus, symbolically loading the resulting objects that, within the installation, promote a reflection and sensorial experience to the viewer on the action of eroticism without being explicit.
The work is made up of 3 levels in relation to the 3 types of eroticism named by Bataille, beginning with floor pieces of various phallic shapes, erect towards a large vitreous anus, loaded with a whitish fluid gradually and individually illuminated, the second, It is the vitreous anus which is the main piece of the work, it is a circumference made up of 96 pieces of glass to the blowtorch, pieces that resemble small phalluses that together make up the great sacred anus, a symbol that represents the splendor of eroticism, being the clear allegory to eroticism, for being the organ of pleasure exploration which we all have at our disposal, and by not fulfilling a reproductive purpose, resignifying the importance and power of the passive role, and finally, a piece that penetrates another like a liquid clock, where a part gradually fills its partner, a reflection of the culmination of Eros and the suspension of lovers.
