In the Wastewater Treatment Plant - WWTP of the municipality of El Rosal Cundinamarca, there is a high consumption of conventional electricity, this has generated high costs for energy payment for the company. This document studies the market, technical and financial pre-feasibility of the implementation of a photovoltaic generation system in accordance with the strategic plan of the company El Rosal SA ESP 2020-2023, which is the public company that manages the WWTP.
Currently the utility company pays a monthly average for consumption of electrical energy of $15,048,274 COP, reaching a total of $180,579,285 COP by 2021 for the consumption of 333516 kWh in the year. With the power generation system photovoltaic energy studied in the document and with the help of simulations carried out in the PVSOL software determines that it is possible to reduce this cost by 45%.
