Abstract

This book is part of the research project on dynamic modeling of environmental systems with emphasis on modeling of wetlands and the physical and abiotic variables that explain their behavior and ecology. As a result, a holistic model was built that allowed physical processes such as the hydroperiod to be related to the main ecological processes, which allow explaining the health conditions of the system. The results of this research are an important instrument to apply to the decision-making process related to the recovery and environmental management of the wetland. Likewise, they are results that can be considered as a valid instrument for the management of wetlands in scenarios of high climate variability, such as the El Niño phenomenon, opening new fields of research and application in lotic and lentic systems of the country, to provide information. strategic for the management of water resources and also for the design of early warning systems, for the benefit of society.
