Circular sobre las Fiestas del 20 de Julio

Abstract

The image contains a news item about La Circular about the July 20th Celebrations divided into three cards, as follows: Card 1: it is mentioned that next July 20 is the 70th anniversary of the emancipation, conforming to a Law of the Union and an agreement of the State Public Education Council, in which the students of the schools have absolved that memorable day in our history and the greatest day of the Republic, requesting to suspend school activities on that date. Sheet 2: It is requested to gather all the efforts to illustrate and call the children's attention to some fact that because of its importance and tragic character awakens their interest. Additionally, it is requested to explain to the students by means of an example what was done and said by Ricaurte, Camilo Torres, José María Castillo, Caldas, Torices and Nariño in order to awaken in the children the admiration for the sublime. Card 3: Mention is made of the need for the young people who will later be the Government of the Society to have at least some notions of History about the most notable episodes that contribute to the National Independence.
