Resumen
This work was developed in the Camino San Francisco-Vicachá (CSFV) belonging to the Reserva Forestal Protectora Bosque Oriental de Bogotá (RFPBOB), in collaboration with the Jardín Botánico de Bogotá José Celestino Mutis (JBBJCM) from the Línea de Caminos de los Cerros Orientales. Its purpose was to contribute to the fulfillment of the functions and objectives of the JBBJCM, involving the community attending the path in order to bring them closer to knowledge about the native species of the place, thus seeking to answer the question: How does a strategy based on the implementation of a viverism workshop contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and provides an approach to native species of flora in the CSFV? To this end, a viverism workshop was designed and implemented that covered topics such as ecological restoration, native and exotic species, and propagation of plant material. This workshop made it possible to show the visitors' conceptions about restoration, nurseries and native species, and also provided a point of comparison before and after the implementation of the workshop, which could be inferred thanks to the qualitative data analysis and content analysis after organizing the data in information matrices. The work made it possible to enrich the community's conceptions, in addition, the dissemination of knowledge about native species was evident, the application of knowledge in the resolution of problems and all this contributed to the fulfillment of the objectives of the JBBJCM.
