Resumen
Mass removal processes affect people's lives, causing economic and human losses. This work presents a modification to the methodology proposed by Mora-Varhson, for the zoning of areas under threat to mass removal processes, where the susceptibility is measured from the incorporation of a group of variables (Effect of Vegetal cover, distance to drainage and distance to geological faults), which together with the variables originally proposed by the authors (Lithology, Terrain Moisture and Terrain Slope), seek to better describe the behavior of the territory before the possible occurrence of removal processes in mass. The identification of the degree of threat is carried out following the general scheme proposed by the Authors. To validate the quality of the proposed models, the ROC operating receiver curves are used, achieving a precision result of 70% for the susceptibility model and 69% for the threat model.
