Resumen
The image presents a news item about: "The streets of Bogotá" It has been observed that in the past very little attention was paid to the order and opening of the streets in many neighborhoods, and that in several cases constructions were built where streets should have been opened. This is an irregularity that makes some blocks too long, such as those in the Las Nieves neighborhood, and that takes away the comfort and beauty of several squares, such as the one in San Francisco, today "Parque de Santander" this lacks two of its natural entrances, and it is faulty for this reason. The same thing happens in San Diego, today "Parque del Centenario," without there being room for correction of the fault in that the demolition of the houses that occupy those places that should be facing the street would cost the District what it did not can spend. We could cite other examples, but we believe what has been said is enough to deal with a case that shows us what our ancestors should have done, and what we must do today to correct and prevent new defects of this kind. The neglect of this matter means that in many places the combination of streets and roads come to form true crossroads; and since there is still time to correct something that is defective in the city, it would be desirable for the authorities to take some action for the purpose of what is indicated.
