| dc.description | This article is part of a process to reconstruct and maintain the patrimony, identity and culture of U’wa native community from a university intervention. This paper shows the actuality, validity, and the transformation of textiles, the community costumes, and its evolution. Regarding the current context of the Colombian native tribes and their continuous daily fight for preserving their identity despite the Colombian conflict and globalization which permeate daily life. This paper also shows how frequently this confrontation ends up in the exchange of their ancestral tradition to popular ones.It was required to make an approach and some camp work at U´wa’s community in the north of Boyaca, it also included interaction between the researcher and the community, and an inventory of the textiles production and the community costumes. | en-US |

Teniendo en cuenta el contexto actual de las comunidades indígenas del país y la lucha diaria por mantener vivas sus identidades frente al conflicto ya la globalización que permean cada vez más la vida cotidiana, se muestra cómo con frecuencia esta confrontación termina en el abandono o cesión de sus costumbres ancestrales por unas populares.Para el desarrollo del proyecto se hizo un acercamiento y visitas al resguardo de U´wa del norte de Boyacá, se interactuó con sus integrantes y se hizo un inventario de la producciónde tejidos, fibras e indumentaria de la comunidad. | es-ES |
