Abstract

This document is organized as follows: a brief introduction where the importance of the implementation and continuous improvement of an EMS in a company such as Italcol S.A. is discussed and the small summary of how continuous improvement was generated through the objectives set at the time of the internships; then there is the conceptual framework, which will make known the meaning of some important and applicable concepts throughout the document, in addition to this, the organizational context of the Italcol company is also integrated, where its mission and vision are mentioned, the production process is explained and the significant environmental aspects derived from it and the operational controls applied to mitigate the impact are described. This was followed by the work plan where an analysis of an environmental checklist was carried out by means of a SWOT matrix taking into account the ISO14001, improvement plans were generated and the description of results organized by phases is made, finally, the conclusions and recommendations obtained at the end of the internship are found.
