Resumen
The radio program "Voices and Regions" is positioned as a fundamental space to make visible and promote initiatives that contribute to the comprehensive development of children and adolescents. Through the participation of experts and community leaders, various strategies are explored to encourage research, creativity, and the active participation of young people. The central axes of the program are: • Scientific research: The Ondas Nariño program highlights the importance of awakening scientific curiosity in children from an early age. By forming research groups and providing them with tools to explore their environments, critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork are encouraged. • Artistic expression: Arteria, the project led by Juan Fernando Erazo, demonstrates how art can be a powerful vehicle for children and adolescents to express their emotions, share their experiences and build a collective identity. By working with everyday materials and exploring different artistic techniques, participants develop creative skills and strengthen their self-esteem. • Citizen participation: Both projects emphasize the importance of involving children, adolescents and their families in all stages of the processes. By making joint decisions and building projects collaboratively, the sense of belonging is strengthened and active participation in the community is promoted. Impact and challenges: The projects presented in the program have proven to have a positive impact on the communities where they are developed. By promoting research and artistic expression, we contribute to: • Empower children and adolescents: By recognizing their abilities and providing them with spaces to develop their talents, they are given an active role in building their future. • Strengthen the social fabric: By working together, participants develop social skills, learn to value diversity and build relationships based on trust and mutual respect. • Make local problems visible: The projects allow us to identify and address specific problems of each community, generating creative and sustainable solutions. However, some challenges were also mentioned, such as the need to have sustainable economic resources to guarantee the continuity of the projects and the importance of overcoming cultural obstacles that limit the participation of certain social groups.
