Diseño e implementación de un plan de mantenimiento autónomo para la empresa Wilplas S.A.S

Abstract

This project aims to improve the operational efficiency of Wilplas SAS, a Colombian company dedicated to the processing of recycled plastic materials. Due to the lack of an adequate maintenance system, the company faced frequent failures in its equipment, which generated downtime and economic losses. To address these problems, an autonomous maintenance plan was designed focused on three key production equipment: mills, washers and dryers. The plan includes several phases: planning, equipment characterization, maintenance procedure design and training for operating personnel. A color-coded card system (red, blue and green) was created to manage interventions on the equipment and ensure its efficient preventive and corrective maintenance. In addition, clear instructions were developed for the safe operation of the equipment, and specific training in industrial safety and maintenance was implemented. The results obtained after the implementation of the plan have been positive, with a notable reduction in downtime and greater operational safety. Thanks to this approach, Wilplas SAS has optimized the use of its equipment, improved the quality of its products and reduced its corrective maintenance costs. This project not only strengthens the company's competitiveness in the recycling sector, but also promotes a culture of prevention and responsibility among operators, ensuring a more efficient and safer work environment.
